I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving, the long weekend, and had plenty to eat! Now that Thanksgiving is over, it’s time to get ready for Christmas – my absolute favorite time of the year. There’s something about Christmas decorations and string lights that brings out the excitement.
‘Tis the season for holiday parties and of course, outfits. I love looking the part but I try to be a practical shopper and choose outfits that can be worn many times over. For this look, I wanted something with a little sparkle while at the same time being appropriate for the office.
I found this petite metallic-striped peplum sweater at White House Black Market and it’s the perfect piece to liven up my wardrobe with some holiday spirit. The material is soft enough that it don’t feel itchy or uncomfortable without wearing a tank top underneath. I am wearing an XSP; if you are looking for a sweater that is more form fitting, it would be best to order one size down.
This sweater looks best with black pants. I wore this to work with a black skinny pant and these shoes (not pictured). With the shoes I’m wearing, you can easily transition from office to easy night out as I would suggest wearing a shorter heel to the office.
I feel a post that talks about Thanksgiving would not be complete without mentioning Black Friday. While I picked up a few tops that were on sale, my big purchases were a curling iron and a vacuum cleaner – which I will be sure to show you in my Instagram stories. Follow along at @practicalpetite 🙂
