The Importance of Sunblock
There’s an alarming amount of people who do not wear sunscreen on a daily basis; increasing their risk to potential sun damage. Isn’t skin cancer scary enough?
Being someone who has a family history of skin cancer and having more than the average number of moles, makes me more susceptible. I have always been conscious of protecting my skin but mainly with wearing hats or relying on the small amount of SPF in my makeup products. Clearly this wasn’t effective as I have some sun damage on my cheekbone and hyperpigmentation. My biggest concern and reason for not wearing a sunblock daily was that I just couldn’t find one on the market that didn’t feel greasy or make my face breakout.
Since my efforts to promote Bella Block, I’ve heard just about every excuse as to why people justify not wearing sunscreen daily. We’re familiar with being told to wear it at the pool or beach, but what about when you are taking a walk, driving, or enjoying a meal out on the patio? From extensive research and input from a clinical esthetician, Leona Bella; I can confidently say that you will regret not having worn sunblock years from now when the damages are more prominent and irreversible.
Skin cancer may be the most important reason to start applying SPF but exposure to harmful rays can also cause:
• Premature aging
• Facial brown spots and skin discoloration
• Enhances red veins and blotchiness
I can’t find one reason as to how any of these sound like something a person would want to risk. The best thing you can do to keep your skin looking youthful is to wear sunblock. Every. Single. Day.
Finding the Perfect Sunblock
There is a ridiculous amount of sunscreen brands on the market so it may be confusing on how to go about choosing the right one. Most of the big brand sunscreens available in stores are packed with harmful chemicals that seep into your skin – umm, no thank you! I opt for a physical sunblock containing active mineral ingredients and provides protection against both UVB and UVA rays.
What is so great about Bella Block is that it doesn’t feel like a sunscreen at all and anyone can use it! It goes on practically clear so no matter what your skin color is, it won’t leave a white film or residue on your skin. It’s an all-natural sunblock and you can actually read and pronounce every ingredient in it – always a plus! It has an amazing, lightweight and moisturizing consistency with tons of anti-aging herbs, plus hyaluronic acid (which helps nourish and hydrate the collagen in your skin and stay plump). Bella Block basically feels like you’re using a lotion. Last but certainly not least, is the scent! Think of a refreshing, light, crisp cucumber scent. The ingredient plantain gives it this amazing smell that makes you want to reapply it throughout the day.
Clearly, you can see why I consider this the holy grail of sunblock’s. I now have Bella Block for sale on my website under the shop tab so that this amazing formula could be available to everyone. After struggling for so long to find the perfect sunblock, I couldn’t wait to share the best one i’ve come across. Helping and informing others is truly what my blog is founded on.
Give Bella Block a try. I’d love to hear your reviews!
Some photos for thought:
In 2012, a New England Journal of Medicine article published this shocking photo of a 69-year-old man with a 28 year history of sun exposure on half of his face. This man was a truck driver who had the left side of his face exposed to direct sunlight and we can see just how damaging it can be.
The photo shown above is a before and after of the hyperpigmentation on my forehead. This was caused from acne and sun exposure without proper protection. After monthly visits to my esthetician and applying Bella Block daily, the discoloration is starting to fade.
