Insight into the dreaded truth behind my beauty product purchases from Amazon. Alright, so this is disappointing to me because I order from Amazon on a regular basis but I am finally giving up on buying beauty products from there. More often than not I receive counterfeit products.
I don’t understand how Amazon allows this to happen. I realize there are many vendors that sell on amazon and it would be difficult to keep track of whether or not the vendor is selling legit products but some type of measures should be established. Hopefully this post can help you from wasting your money because believe me, the few dollars you may save from purchasing it on Amazon is not worth the fake product that you will most likely end up discarding.
Here is one example of a hair conditioner I purchased on Amazon and I absolutely love the Matrix Oil conditioner, but that’s not what I received. If you see, they are practically identical and it would have been difficult to even notice a difference if I didn’t happen to have a bottle of the authentic one that I purchased from a beauty supplies store, who is a direct vendor of Matrix products. There is a slight difference in the color of the tube and the conditioner’s consistency.
The tube of conditioner on the left was ordered from Amazon and the one on the right was purchased from the beauty supplies store.
